Built in the late 1920's, it was called one of the finest buildings in California. The Country Club was located at the corner of Lakeshore and Lawrence directly across from the lake. This picture is a view from above the lake.
The beautiful Clevelin Country Club, situated across from the lake just off Lakeshore Drive, burnt to the ground in January 2001. A few relics remain like stone walls, pillars, and palm tree stumps (see below.)
