Think about it! "Quadrilateral has many sons." There are many names for quadrilaterals like rectangle, square, etc. That's the point in singing the above lyrics. Also, by having your students act out the "body motions" the kinesthetic learners will benefit. Most students will remember that quadrilaterals have 4 sides just like we have 4 limbs. These 4 limbs become part of the song! I hope you understand the connections.

The students obviously need quite a bit of direct instruction along with the singing of this song in order to truly comprehend the concepts of the different names of quadrilaterals (4 sided figures.)
